Join us for this online viewing event of A Fiber Story and share our appreciation for the sensuous quality of life that comes into focus when we slow down and make things with our hands.

A Fiber Story is an 11-minute, sensory rich art film that celebrates the beauty and transitions of a passing year with exotic animals known as guanacos. Monty Hunter, videographer and Lisa Mitchell, fiber artist, document the meditative process of working with the guanacos and their fiber--creating yarn and knitting a fine lace garment. With each seasonal change the film shows a new step in the fiber process which invites the viewer to ponder the precious nature of time and creating.

After the film’s viewing, Lisa and Monty will lead a discussion about time, seasons, and creative collaboration. During this conversation they will answer any questions and invite you to share thoughts and take aways.

The event is free with an option to contribute to the care and feeding of the guanacos. It will be recorded if you are unable to attend live.
